Sewer Rate Increase

SEWER RATE INCREASE EFFECTIVE

NEXT WATER BILL

At the August 22, 2024 Chateau Woods M.U.D. Board of Directors’ meeting, the Board voted to increase the sewer rate charged to all customers effective on the bill that will be generated on September 30 (due October 20).
In March 2002 the sewer rate was decreased upon the repayment off the bonds associated with the sewer plant. The rate has remained the same since March 2002.
However, over the last 22 years, the costs of maintaining the sewer plant and associate infrastructure throughout the District, have increased.
Therefore, effective on the next water bill (due October 20) all customers who are billed for sewage will see an increase on their monthly water bill.

The increase will be as follows:
In-District Residential Customers: Increase of $5.02 per month
Out of District Residential Customers: Increase of $10.04 per month
Commercial Customers and Customers with contracted sewer rates will similarly increase.
